The last new model from Galaxy is an AM/SSB model built for
simplicity, the DX86V:
1) Same chassis as the new DX55F and DX66V2 - mid size, front mic
with frequency counter but with added SSB.
2) Fine/coarse clarifier, automatic SWR circuit with SWR alert
LED.
3) No Echo, no +10KHz switch, no PA, no FM, no Roger Beep.
Because Galaxy was limited on space with the small size, this has
way less features than the DX99V2, however, the performance is
exactly the same.
This radio is very simple to understand and use.
This is one of
those radios that SSB frequency accuracy drifts with temperature
changes. We cannot change this, it has been that way with these
radios for many years. If you can't live with it, don't buy this
radio. Thank you.
Galaxy radios sometimes have a small
scratch or ding that the factory covers with touch up.
We cannot effect this and do not guarantee your radio to be
cosmetically perfect. Bells CB will make no marks or
scratches on your radio ourselves. Galaxy radio might
though and I cannot control it.
The
item most overlooked when ordering a custom radio is the
microphone. Your new radio will NOT sound great with a stock mic
on it even if you have it tuned. If your CB is more than a tool
for work, you NEED to upgrade your microphone. My personal
favorites are the
Astatic 636L and
