Controlled from internal power or external, it is up to you.
You can use an AC wall adapter at home.
OR run 12vdc to it from inside the amp and then your all set.(this requires some soldering skills or a tech to do it). We like to use 2 x 25 Ohm 5W resistors in parralel (12.5 Ohm) fed to the on/off switch. The fan is very loud without the drop down resistors. Run both +/- through an RF bead and wrap a few times.
