The item for bid is a BRAND NEW, never been opened, GALAXY DX-959 CB radio. We are an authorized dealer of GALAXY radios and are offering this to you at a great price.

With a New Original Equipment Final Output Section with high performance low pass filter by:

This radio will be removed from the box BRAND NEW and have the VIAGRA 120 channel expansion board installed using the front panel tone control switch. The clarifier will be expanded to allow slide in TX/RX. The Famous RF Limited TRB-X3 newest technology clear echo board will be installed using the front panel Talkback position. We move the Talkback to the back of the radio.. The receiver will be modified using new and better receiver parts ( 4 diodes and one transistor) to improve the sensitivity and lower the noise. By utilizing a high gain, super low noise transistor and four Schottky diodes in the AM detection and Noise Blanker stages it will increase the incoming signal and greatly improve the signal to noise ratio in the receiver (by approx 6db or 1 S-unit).

After the RX mods are done a frequency alignment to the synthesizer will be done in AM, USB and LSB modes individually. The receiver will be aligned maximum reception. The transmitter will have the final stages removed and a new and better section, called the RFX-75 installed and then output is aligned for maximum power and modulation.

AM: 5 - 15W carrier and 60-65W peak power

SSB: 50-55 W PEP

No alignments or tuning will bring the radio to any harmful levels.
